About the Institution
The College of Engineering, Munnar was crystallized in form and substance in the year 2000 by The Center for Continuing Education, Kerala, a Government of Kerala undertaking. The college is dedicated entirely to the growth and development of professional education, industry, business and social upliftment.
The CEM campus is housed at the heart of Munnar town, a hillock retreat, better known as the Darjeeling of the South. Established in a vast 26acres of land. The Institute offers a truly world class work environment for students, faculty and supporting staff. The academic block alone is housed in a building area of 35,000 sqft. The computing environment is one of the best available in the State spread over an area of around 3000sqft The Institution is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and is a recognized institution of Cochin University of Science and Technology.
The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is a recognized Institute of the Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, which offers four years B-Tech programmes and is situated in the heart of Munnar town; at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala.
